Pangea

Pangea is an instrumental album by my new musical project, Microfauna.

I record nearly everything at my home studio in the Tulsa area. My studio is part of a spare bedroom that I also use as an office and a closet. Guitar and bass are the instruments I've been playing the longest, so they usually are most prominent on any given song. I also have an old Rhodes piano and a Farfisa organ that you'll hear quite a bit. Then there's a Moog synthesizer, an autoharp, and a glockenspiel. I have a little cocktail drum kit and a pile of hand percussion instruments. I also like to play around with effects pedals.

I performed most everything on the album, but I did have help from some friends and family. My wife Annina, who is a classically trained percussionist, contributed to a couple of tracks. My small children also play on two of the songs. My friends TJ (guitar), Shaun (guitar), and Ben (drums) also made contributions. It was mixed and mastered by Esmute Rodrigo Farias.
